Explain how iconographic, historical, political, philosophical, religious, and social factors of the movements are reflected in each work of art
Comparing Movements and Works of Art
Select two works of art, each from a different movement. Select movements that you have not previously addressed in your discussions.
Describe these two works of art by applying at least three questions art historians ask and four words art historians use. Explain how iconographic, historical, political, philosophical, religious, and social factors of the movements are reflected in each work of art. Include images of both works of art in an appendix at the end of your paper.
Use at least two scholarly sources to support your points. The ProQuest and Credo Reference databases in the Ashford Online Library are helpful sources of information, as are the museum resources provided in Week One. To locate ProQuest and Credo Reference, visit the Ashford Online Library through the tab on the left navigation toolbar and select “Databases by Subject” and then “Visual and Performing Arts.”
Your paper must be three to five pages in length, excluding the title and reference pages and images. Be sure to include images of both works of art in an appendix at the end of your paper. Format your paper according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center. For information regarding APA samples and tutorials, visit the Ashford Writing Center, located within the Learning Resources tab on the left navigation toolbar
