My internship is at an accounting firm called I am a tax intern. I prepare tax returns 1040, 1120,1120s, and 1065. I do a lot of trial balances, going through workpapers to make sure all the numbers are accurate, find out what can also benefit the client based on what they sent us.
I do a lot of adjusting journal entries, reclassfying journal entries, federal tax journal entries, calculating book to tax difference, and adjusting what is deductible and what is non deductible. Be efficient with excel is another key.
